Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in 1980. Her birthplace was Huntington Woods and raised there. Bell is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier as well as Tom Bell. She was born in the town of Huntington Woods, Michigan, to a Polish mother and father who was German, English Irish, Scottish and Irish. Kristen's talent for entertainment was discovered at a very young age. She was just 12 when she went to her first audition and won the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency before her 13th birthday. She was then featured in TV commercials as well as newspaper ads. Bell also began taking private acting classes at that time. Bell played an uncredited character in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz production at her highschool won Bell the starring Dorothy role. After graduation Bell relocated in New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts and learned about musical theatre. Bell left her college in 2001 after she was cast in the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her debut on the credit screen with the role of Becky Pootie Tang. But the film cut her character out of the movie and her appearance was only in the credits. Bell made an appearance with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
