
Although she had failed to reach out to record companies and request support however, her situation was changed when Rob Fusari was her music producer. He was supportive of her music career and they developed a strong working relationship that eventually led to an affectionate relationship. It was Fusari who gave her her stage name, Lady Gaga, in tribute to the track Radio Gaga by Queen, one of her favorite bands. Akon who was familiar with Lady Gaga's songwriter standing, saw her perform at an event and gave her a contract under his record label Kon Live Distribution. Gaga was thrilled to accept it. Lady Gaga was then known as a performer. Fusari was also a producer as well as RedOne and Martin Kierszenbaum.
